On another site we were talking about daughters out shooting dads.
I took my 24 year old daughter to the range with me for a spotter. After about a 1/2 hour of me shooting she asked if she could give it a try. She has been shooting 22 rifles and small cal deer rifles for years but never a large caliber heavy rifle. I was shooting my Shiloh # 1 Sporter in 45/70 with a 30" heavy barrel with 62 gr of Goex and a Paul Jones 540 gr Creedmore bullet. Off hand on the chickens she had a problem because of the weight of the rifle and scored a 0, in the prone position off the cross sticks on the pigs she hit 6 of 10, on turkeys 5 of 10 and 6 of 10 on the rams. When she was done she just smiled at me and asked me if I wanted to try again now that she had the rifle warmed up. Great day at the range.
