I bought my RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 scale and dispenser for my ‘06, long before I even dreamed of owning a black powder cartridge rifle. By chance, I was looking through the manual and noted that they say “use with smokeless powder only! Do not use with black powder.” I’ve used it for loading my .45-70 cartridges ever since I started shooting BPTR.
Am I doing something that’s truly unsafe? Or is RCBS just practicing CYA?
Thanks!
Tom
