Curtis and Harvey pistol powder

Post by omgb »

I was given a 5 pound cardboard cylinder of C&H pistol black powder a few years back. I’m thinking this stuff must date to the 50s given the container. Anyway, I use it exclusively in my 32-20 rifle and in my Ruger Old Army revolver. To date, it shoots really well leaving very little fouling and very consistent velocities. I’m wondering if any of you have used this before? Anyone have an idea if my dating is close? The powder is in a plastic bag inside of the cylinder and the cylinder is capped with a cardboard lid.
