Rifle came today
My 1877 Sharps came today. I ordered it to look like the Overbaugh Creedmoor that I have seen pictures of in an auction. It was a 2 1/2 year weight due to the pandemic etc etc but it was well worth it. This is a beautiful rifle and remains true to the aesthetic of the original without having to make the stock look "chunky" in order to keep it strong. It is in excellent proportion and the fit is perfect. I got the ebony inlay in the pistol grip and it is perfectly done. This one has the rigby rib, 34" barrel, and is a 45-100 with a 1/16 twist.
What I forgot was an 1877 base for the tang sight. As soon as MVA gets it here, I'll be out to the range. Once again Shiloh has outdone themselves and produced a work of art.

Gorgeous rifle ,hope you have less trouble mounting the base than I did on my 77 . Removing the base screws is the only way to remove the tang sight from the rifle thus it remains on the rifle permanent .

Yessirree ! That's one very nice looking rifle. Perhaps I do 'need' a #77 after all. Congratulations.

It weighs in right at 12 lbs. and the trigger is just right. This one has the heavy barrel. If you order one don't forget to order the 1877 tang sight base that it needs. The 1874 base doesn't fit it.
