NRA 2023 BPCR Scope Nationals

This is where you can place your scores from the matches. It uses an excel spread sheet! If you send me your sheet of scores I can put it on the forum and provide a link where everyone can view it.

NRA 2023 BPCR Scope Nationals

Post by SSShooter »

Day-1 was a tricky day with difficult to read winds/mirage. Only one master score with Mel Barnell's 46, followed by Jim Deitlein's 45 & Woody's 44.

Day-2 was more of the same weather, but easier to read mirage. Brian & Debbie definitely figured it out as Brian stepped up with a fine 52 (9 chickens) to come from 5 back after day-1 to win by 4 with an agg of 93, over Mel's 89 and Neil Eddington's 88.

Congrats to all the winners.

Iron's practice tomorrow. Mid-90s temps with 100+ heat index Thurs/Fri. Going to be a hot one.

I am looking forward to it. I’ll be sure to give the target setters a little extra 😁

This was a terrific match! The range is beautiful and conveniently laid out. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The number of women shooters, I think there were over ten of us, as well as a large group of young adult shooters, attests to the friendly family atmosphere. The number of shooters being 68 scope and 49 iron is reportedly nothing new for this club, as they have similar numbers for regionals, and upwards of 40 for monthly matches. These guys and gals are the real deal. Thanks to Lora, Woody, and everyone who had a hand in putting on a true national match. Team WRing will definitely make the trip to Indiana again.

Would not have been a good day for me to bet my New York quarters. Well done my friend! Good luck with your surgery.

Looking better already. Both eyes are done and I have my final follow-up tomorrow. Pretty painless. I will need "readers" but should no longer need glasses for driving and night driving should be much better. Will have to wait until mid-August to shoot .22 rifle and longer before the big-bore stuff. Doc is a shooter and told me that Bullseye this coming monday is OK. :D

I am going to cast some trapdoor bullets this weekend or next so that I can hopefully keep up with you at the trapdoor match once your eyes are all better.

Man Woody. With the way you finished before getting the lamps fixed you're going to be tough to beat for sure.
I'm scheduled to get mine fixed by end of Oct. and I was told that I will not be able to lift over 10 lbs. I think he knew my rifles all weight over 10 lbs. :D

I hope to bring my 13 and 16 year old Grand Daughters to Friendship next season and get them started at this game. They are just one Hr west of Friendship and both shoot very well.

I am restricted to 10 lbs or less also til mid-August also. As you know time passes so much quicker now, so it will be here before I know it. In the meantime I'll get my reloading up to date for the September and October matches. The casting is already done. Ian. I am going to load an extra 60 rounds for the trapdoor. I think I have Steve convinced to give it a try.
