Kirk,
Since you said you can make a 25 pounder, what barrel lengths are available? I'm about to take the plunge and would like to get my order request right. Other than time, are there any other special factors a potential owner should keep in mind?
Has anyone ordered one yet?
Thanks,
Mike
PS: I hope I haven't opened a can of worms, for you.

Well, I took the plunge and ordered a 25 pound "Sporter #1" with all the trimmings.
.45-70 with 34" barrel
French Grey metal
Presentation wood
Engraving
AAA finish
etc. etc.
I even ordered double sights, long range Sharps vernier and front globe with inserts from MVA, plus one of their 23" telescopes. Kirk's postings convinced me it's easy to switch back and forth between the scope and the iron sights. I'll order the sights when I get the "Lot Closing" letter.
I'll get into next year's bull barrel lot, but, since Kirk makes these monsters one at a time, and since there is at least one order ahead of mine, I'll not expect the "Lot Closing" letter before late '05. That's OK. The anticipation is part of the fun.
Thank you very much, Kirk, for offering these special rifles.

Heck, that will be a cannon without wheels.............
......................but think of the monster shell you could put in it and the lack of harsh recoil.
Mike must have arms like "Arnold".
I would love to see it. Maybe when it is done he will share some pictures of this masterpiece.
