I got a new Apple Computer and found that its a lot easier to work with pictures. So I thought I'd share some pics.
These were off of my game came last hunting season. I placed a trail camera in some thick woods on my place South of Columbus, TX. These pigs were eating some corn that I spread the night before. Little did they know that I was creeping up the trail with my 45/70 business rifle. This is the picture before the shot:
I let the smoke out and of course they scattered. Unfortunately, the reset times on the camera are such that they missed the shot and the scattering of pigs. BUT - look at the tree in front of me directly above the tang of my rifle. You can faintly see a shred on the tree bark that was not there in the previous picture. That shredded bark is from my bullet after it passed completely through one of those pigs. It glanced off of that tree at an angle:
It ran about 45 yards and collapsed:
Here are some future hunts on the horizon:
Here's a nice South Texas Buck taken in Southern Atascosa County at a range of 164 yards:
This beast was taken with my Shiloh Hartford 45/70 in South Texas at 130 yards:
I Just enjoy hunting!

Re: Some more Hunting Pictures
Here are some mounted deer pictures. The first one is the buck that's in the previous post above. All three of these came from South Texas / Atascosa County:
Look at this buck. He showed up on the same trail that I had the camera on in the hog pictures above. I caught him twice on camera, once in the daylight:
Once at Night:
Then, my buddy Tom shoots this buck from a tree stand. He was coming back from a hunt in Del Rio, Tx after Christmas. He hit traffic on I-10 around Schulenberg, then decided instead of sitting in traffic all the way back to Katy, TX, he'd go South of Schulenberg to HWY 90, head to the ranch and climb into one of our tree stands for the last 45 minutes of light. He sat in the stand for 15 minutes and ends up killing this buck that I've been hunting ever since I caught him on camera! That's what they call being at the right place at the right time. I was actually hunting on the place when he showed up - I was in my double wide box stand on the North end of the property. He texted me and said, "Where you at? I'm thinking of climbing into the tree bench stand." I said, "I in the doublewide - go ahead, you're not gonna bother my hunt." He get's the deer!
I JUST LOVE Hunting! When that first cold snap hits in late October, My neck is going to start swelling.
