Anybody use this rod that is advertised in the BPCR News? It looks good but is it any better than the coated Dewey rod that I use Now?

I use one and would recommend it. The advantage over a Dewey rod is the slot about 3 in from the end which allows a patch to keep the rod centered in the bore thus not allowing much if any contact of the rod with the bore. A disadvantage against the Dewey would be cost-some Dewey users say they can do the same job as the Phariss rod if they are careful with cleaning.
