Now if Kim manages to join in, might be a different story.
He seems to have more ducks lined up this spring.
Had high hopes i could talk the wild horse crew into joining in and vacationing in phoenix this winter, but rumor has it they passed up shooting a long range buffalo match on such a beautiful day today to travel all the way to Billings to shoot something called F class.
The word "Traitors" was bantied about quite often today.

F Class. You do know what the F stands for, don't you?

BUT, paper patch confetti filled the air with every shot! Beautiful, reminded me of soft snowfall at Christmas.

We've heard often from DD "The wind is our friend." But my attempts to establish rapport with the wind have repeatedly been rebuffed. The wind comes and goes, but wherefrom nobody knows. Or something like that from scripture.

The Desert International is the Event 4 you Mike. Seven consecutive days of pure shooting nirvana at the best range in the world.
Just show up and shoot.
Just show up and shoot.

In all fairness, Mike had a wandering front MVA sight that wandered around as he shot. Not a good scenario on a day that the wind was coming from a different direction and a different velocity on almost every shot

Re: 2024 Desert International Target Rifle Championship
The inability to, or failure to, engage in effective match preparation "prior" to the match has bitten more than one rifleman.
Being prone to equipment failure in competition is demonstrated by the shooter over time and is to be avoided.
Sooner or later it seems to happen to everyone at least once.
So, the question is this: Is this Mike's first equipment failure in competition or is it the first one we know about
Asking for a friend.

I had an awesome time at the DI Zack. Thanks again for helping me out. You did a lot more than just spot. Shooting next to Don and Blair was great. Next year I’ll have a couple extra chamber mops with me just in case…. Also, if Curtis is shooting next to Venhouse again, we will for sure be putting a camera on that lol!!!

That is the whole purpose of these monthly fun shoots. Expose our weaknesses. Whether they be gun issues, shooter issues or spotter issues.desert deuce wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 7:24 am The inability to, or failure to, engage in effective match preparation "prior" to the match has bitten more than one rifleman.

That way we don't show up at a real match far away with egg on our face.

Love it when SEMTAV provides SAGE ADVICE that everyone already knows.
