annealing nickel plated brass

Post by MBW »

A question for the Guru, MLV (or any others who know). I have 200 nickel plated 45-70 brass that I've loaded once and didn't get the neck tension I wanted. Are there any special steps I would have to take to anneal the plated brass? Or is annealing it just like regular brass? Clean up is so much easier with the plated stuff but is it worth it because of the other problems associated with the nickel plating?
Thank you very much.

Sorry. I can't be of much help as I've never used the nickeled brass.

MBW,

I don't see why you can't anneal nickel brass. All the brass is, is nickel platted brass.
