No current source for 2" arsenal patches
Hey guys,
Since Arizona Sharpshooters is no longer in business, one source of 2” arsenal cleaning patches is gone. I was paying Steve $15/1000 + shipping. I just got off the phone with BACO, which also sells the patches but are out of stock & no price is listed. BACO has them on order but does not expect a shipment until around mid-June. So I searched the Internet for another reasonable-priced source. The best deal I found is for Pro-Shot (Item # 2-1000) 2” round cotton flannel patches at MidwayUSA (Product #: 570464). Midway currently has them on sale for $13.99/1000 + shipping, which is an excellent price. The regular price is $17.49 + shipping.
The next question is will they work in the Moezingo Patch Popper dispenser? I guess I’ll find out.

Yes they will work, but the first one will wrap around the brush, just leave it there and use as normal.

The next time you guys get drug to Walmart go to the fabric corner and pick up some 100% cotton flannel for less then $3. a yard and cut your own with one of those round blade fabric cutters and a plastic board and spend less then a hour cutting up three yards into what ever diameter patch you want. I cut my patches that fit the jag, anything from 2" to 3" depending on the caliber. I just cut up 7 yards in less then a hour and that is several thousand patches for less then $20. I cut 4-6 layers at a time on a plastic board laid out in 1" squares.

Wayne,
Try some of the Butch's twill patches.
Much more robust than the arsenal patches and washable if you so wish

Thanks for the suggestion but I looked at those & don't believe they make a 2" round versions which is required to fit my patch dispenser. Also, they are about 2x the price of the Pro-shot patches or the arsenal patches. The price is not a major factor but the shape & dimensions are critical.
BTW, I know some guys wash & reuse their patches but at $.015 to $.02/patch or $1.20 for a 60-round match it's not worth my time to do so.

That's a relief since I ordered 3000 from Midway to take advantage of the reduced shipping.

Yes, I did try his linen patches & Paul is certainly another source which I forgot to mention, but I prefer the arsenal patches. I will say the linen patches did dispense a little smoother from the dispenser. Hopefully the cotton flannel patches may work as well or even better than the arsenal patches for cleaning. We'll see.

Plus, the WAF of washing patches in the Maytag would be very low in my house.TexasMac wrote:BTW, I know some guys wash & reuse their patches but at $.015 to $.02/patch or $1.20 for a 60-round match it's not worth my time to do so.

This is rather frustrating that no one seems to be able to get those arsenal patches like Steve used to sell. I liked them very much and prefer them over anything else I have tried. I wonder why no one seems to know who the supplier was? I wonder what has happened to the rest of Steve's inventory??
