Taking The New '77 Out For A Walk
I have been wanting to get an antelope with the 1877, but there just aren't as many as I would like to find here in Montana. After a couple trips, I finally found a decent buck at around 1/2 mile away. I don't have my sights set for that far, so I had to sneak up a bit closer.
At 209 yards with a bit of wind at about 10 mph, I poked the Sharps over the rock berm for a decent shot and took it...

Very nice. Congrats. Can I ask which front sight you are using? Caliber? Bullet? Thanks

I am using the Globe with post. You need to have a good eye to shoot anything at that distance. It is 45-70 with 405 grain cast bullet...Mike Johnson wrote:Very nice. Congrats. Can I ask which front sight you are using? Caliber? Bullet? Thanks
