Mike , Shiloh will cut you a 7 deg leade if you request it. The 45-2.1 and 50-70 were 2 cartridges that Sharps chambered larger to use gg bullets. The original 420 gr ppb was tapered and the base end of it was patched to dang near groove dia. Send Orville an e-mail and he can prolly give you a lot more info on that. BFD designed his own reamer that he uses very successfully at LR, I think he said it left the case with a .474" fired outside neck dia. . Guy don't have to squeeze it down much after each shot. bobw

Mike sense both the 45-70 and 50-70 in original rifles were chambered so they would accept government loads, my reamers which Shiloh has are made that way, the 45-70 reamer is made from an original sharps barrel .478 with 7 degree lead,
Thier longer 45 caliber chambers were much tighter my original 45 2 7/8 chambered guns are .472 with an even shallower lead like 3-4 degrees.

Shooting grease groove bullets in a sharps is new technology and just a passing fad.
