Looking for jamison 44-90 brass

Post by firefighter1990 »

I know there's not supposed to be "classifieds" on Shiloh's forum but I don't know of any better place to ask. I'm looking for 50-60 pieces of proper headstamped Jamison 44-90 sbn brass for Shiloh's rim thickness. Doesn't have to be new or pretty, just functional brass to be able to put my new toy to use.

You might check this place out. I put it in my files a while back incase I needed some cases for developing uncommon obsolete cases. I don't know anything about them.

I just did a search and I could not find a Ph. number for this link above.

Is there a contact for that supplier? That URL brings up the available cartridge list but that's all I see. I know baco has some they form from stretched 43 Spanish Jamison, but I'm trying to find proper head stamped stuff before I take that route. I'm kinda picky about it still

This is all I could find for the first link above. It has a E-mail http://the-puzzle-palace.com/files/ammo1.htm

There is always RMC they are selling the business but still taking orders if you want a correct head stamp.

I would not mind getting some cases for my .44-90 bn but I think if you want the correct head stamp bite the bullet and pay the price and order some from RMC while you still can. It's doubtful that Jamison will ever start up again.
The only other option would be Bertram Brass if they made a run but I never had their cases last but a few loadings.

RMC has a fantastic product! Only bad thing is that their cases are machined rather than drawn from a brass coin like Jamison, starline, Remington, etc. What that means is the powder capacity is reduced by quite a bit, especially in their bottlenecks. That only makes a difference for me because I want to duplicate the original loading of the 44-90. I'll probably just buy the baco stretched stuff. Only die I use on my bpcr stuff is a compression dies so a handful of cases will out last me with proper cleaning after each firing.
