Greasers

Post by ChrisF »

In the beginning Paper Patch cartridges were used. At what time did Greasers come into play?

In the beginning greasers were the norm, then paper patch. Then greasers again. Back and forth during the 1860's, 70's, 80's. Remember one of the first conical projectiles was a greaser Minie ball. Don't quote me but that was in the late 1840's or early 1850 time frame.
