No nothing

Winter finally hit hard here. 15-20 degrees and 12 in of fresh snow.

No shooting, fishing, can't even get on the back roads for coyotes.

My old friend, a WWII pilot, told of shooting coyotes out of an old Piper. Land in a wheat field, pick up the dead dog, back up for the next one.

Well, they stopped, picked one up, back in the air..... Well, that one "wasn't quite dead"!!! One guy trying to fly the plane, the other guy had the dog by the neck, teeth and jaws snapping in every direction in very tight quarters.

Must have been a couple tense minutes getting back on the ground!!!!

:D This sure brings back some pleasant memories from the 50's :D My instructor was a WW-2 South Pacific two time ACE and crop duster and in the winter when the snow was on the ground so he could see the Fox he would take me up either in the J-3 with the doors off or the super cub and a Mod-12 or a double Stevens loaded with #1 buck and we went bounty hunting. Back then there was a $5. bounty on Fox plus the hides sold for a good price and we would take turns on the stick and dodging fences and hedge trees  Sure was cold up there :D
TNX Gussy for making my day start with a smile.
