..I do use the seating die you described. Because this is a new mold, I'm experimenting.
but I use it for compressing the load not the bullet. I seat the bullet by hand then fac. crimp slightly.
so far, some of the groups are sub 1 1/2 inches at 100.
consistency is the problem...I'm wondering about my 'hold' position.

That's what I would look at, if your loads are consistent, and they fall right in, it's not like the rifle is going to shoot sometimes and sometimes not..

well I received it and tried it yesterday and it works.
it's a little rough with the cross bar being a steel spring bar, I would prefer brass and may change it.. we'll see

I had two that I could have pushed in, but used the tool instead and it works easily.

I have the http://cowboybullets.com/Cartridge-Seater_p_93.html tool for the Sharps. Works perfectly and it has a brass cross bolt. Easy to use.
