And if that doesn't work out, I'm working on having some made and selling them. To be certain I have a few right now that I'll be selling for $40.00 plus shipping. Good luck.

Have you used this tool? Is it all metal construction.

I found this while looking at mould handles. This is the the company that now make the Cabine Tree mould handles. They appear to be all metal.

The fulcrum locking principle onto the block is the same whether the tool is made of metal or plastic and ... they both work as designed
I have a metal seating tool for the '74 Sharps and a plastic one for the '85 Winchester

when the plastic ones had brass ears, good, when they changed to plastic ears, scattered reports of broken plastic ears :(
Yes, I know the picture shows the brass ears, unless they've changed back to the brass ears, the picture on the web site STILL is not an accurate depiction.

Now, on the other hand, the metal ones from Mr. Rhoades, not so much on the breakage

These appear to be quite sturdy 8)

I have the one Steve Rhoades made works great. My buddy had the plastic one from Safebrush. Used it a couple times and it snapped.

Ok, while I was just reloading....I was thinking.
when you use a seating tool, and pushing the bullet into the lands...
won't that push the bullet back into the case and compress the powder more?

technical question and really. who cares, but I'm curious..

Thanks..Ken

vickereman.com Their die has the micrometer plus a sliding sleeve that guides the bullet as it enters the die. It seats my 564 grain bullet in my 2.875 cases near perfectly every time. Less than 20% will be more than 0.0005 (5/10,000)" out of concentricity and none over 0.001" out. Pricey but précised. Love it!

No Ken it doesn't, it just engraves the rifling through the lead driving band.

Maybe you should just consider loading the ammo correctly so you don't need one. bobw
