Good looking bird and gun. 97 is one of my favorites. My shotgun shooting friend, calls mine a "corn shucker". Mine is a full choke, so I picked up another "front end" on Ebay for $200 and cut it to 26 inches and now it's cylinder bore. Great bird gun and fun on the skeet field too. Still can return it to unaltered since the original 30 inch tube was untouched.

Yup,
'97 Win with typical 30" "full and fuller" choke. Tight pattern "almost like a rifle" . Good turkey gun.
Had a couple over the years.
Just checked: "why do I still have a cut off/now cylinder bore 23" '97 take down barrel in my barrel rack???"
I guess, "just in case"

Well it's not spring up here, at least it doesn't feel like it. We had a couple of weeks of spring weather and even a week that felt like summer. It's winter again now.
It's snowing and I've got the wood stove on. This morning I drove through a slush blizzard
Chris.

Ground is white again and it covered all the unmoved grass. Drained the gypsy wagon again. Temp will drop down in the low 20's again tonight.
