It's a pretty rifle looks like a 86

Well it's mine took it to my gunsmith buddy he said about 98%. It was made in 1937. I wish I could post pictures but don't know how to.

Starline has 348 win brass in stock. It's pricey $429.50 for 250.

Did he mention anything about shooting the rifle ?

Seemed like it was one of those things of beauty are a joy forever sort of attractions?

I took it out yesterday doesn't kick like I thought it would. Really a nice addition to my collection

Good luck with it. Seems like a bear hunt is in order. Or Alaskan moose. Or both, of course.

Since we don't have pictures on this thread yet here is the 1954 version I just bought. The scope has been removed and the tacks pulled from the stock. I sent it to Bobby Tyler to fill in the holes from the mount and case color the receiver, butt plate, lever, hammer and forend tip and reblue the rest. So this is the before pic

I paid $900 for mine. Not sure what the total will be when it is done

Here is the 71's Grandfather. The upper is a 45-90, the lower a 40-65. Both circa 1888.
