MVA model B scope on Shiloh 74

Post by arnie »

Has any one on here mounted a model B scope to a 74 ? Did you use the low Winchester bases or the high extended bases ?

I use a Model B scope on a '74 Shiloh. I use the low bases. Things get a little crowded for a right hander with the hammer where it is but with a little practice it all works out. With high bases you will need a higher cheek pad to get a cheek weld when shooting.

I have a "B" model on my hunting rifle, I use the standard base. Zero'd for 200 yards. If I were to shoot at longer distances I would go with taller rear blocks.
