Just finished watching the Custer BBC video on Youtube. Thanks for the post about it. I've read quite a bit about Custer and the Little Big Horn - this was a pretty good production. More re-enactors than I thought they could get. The rolling block they featured for Custer was nice. It followed the book 'Greasy Grass' by Johnny D. Boggs closely - some of the dialog was word for word but that may be because both probably researched certain testimonies and documents well. Worth a view. Boggs' book gives some views from some of the Native Americans who took part in the battle which were very interesting.

Watched it also, very good, if you want to get nit-picky, costoums too new and to clean, and did Custer use a non regulation holster facing forward.

so....the Brits get American history and the guns correct, and OUR Hollywood, non gun people, still use
1892 Winchesters for Civil War stuff.
wake up Hollywood, go get Tom Seleck, he'll tell you what is correct.

while his equipment might have been ok, some of tom Sellicks ballistics leave a bit to be desired.

Bruce...……………….Eh

Before you say that, you need to come on over here and see some Yanks shoot.

February is a good time to leave down under, come on up and stay a while. If you is down under we are up yonder.

Does Quantas fly into Phoenix ?

hey zack,
that is qantas, not quantas..
I know there are some goodly shots amongst you, with yourself right up there.
but that does not mean Quigley's bullets were supersonic, or that English 45 cal bullets shot to the same point of impact as his American ones. at long range.
bruce.

You would be surprised at the following of Custer by the Brits. They have some extremely knowledgeable people over there that study and research more about that battle than many Americans. I have found information that the Brits have, that i didn't get even here in Montana...
