For those of you interested, I just posted a short article on my website titled BPCR Brass - Stretching or Shortening Over Time? It was published in the recent edition of The Single Shot Exchange Magazine. I did make a few modifications prior to posting it on my website. Here’s the link: http://www.texas-mac.com/BPCR_Brass_-_S ... _Time.html

Re: BPCR Brass - Stretching or Shortening Over Time?
Wayne,
I have some .45-70 cases I've been shooting since 1990, and I notice that a few of the primer pockets have become a bit looser over time, although they all still hold the primer.
Georgia shooter Doug Gazaway has at times shown people that, when he removes and reinserts a loose-fit bullet, the primer will actually pop out of the case. Doug is an excellent shooter, so apparently this does not affect accuracy.
Still, a really useful tool to tighten primer pockets when needed. I may try them on a few .223 cases that show the same symptoms.
