Padded cheek rest
I have a Shiloh #1 with cheeck rest I use for silhouette. I've owned the gun since 2007. Every time I finish a match I have a lump on the right side of my jaw where the stock smacks me. Without raising my face very much can anyone recommend a padded rest to reduce the punch I get? I like the look of the one on Shiloh's site but it looks like it would raise my face too much.

Here is a nice one at a good price point! I have one on my roughrider.

I have one of these on each of my Shilohs, works well. I added a strap around the butt plate and through the last strap on the riser.ShilohShooter119 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:42 pm Here is a nice one at a good price point! I have one on my roughrider.

Since I'm traveling I don't have access to a BPCN mag, but there is a fellow in OH who advertises a fully adjustable cheekrest in the smaller ads. Three or four folks at the SE Regional had them and all spoke highly of their ability to fit both the rifle and the shooter due to the simple adjustments available.

Re: Padded cheek rest
I used to have a similar issue when shooting longer range, turned out the main culprit was my head position. Something to check...

Re: Padded cheek rest
Next time get a Montana Roughrider without the stupid cheekpiece. It is also easier to seat a extended add on comb for facial contact, when the sights are set for 1000 yds. bobw

Re: Padded cheek rest
I have a Roughrider I shoot left handed with the leather Shiloh cheek rest. Works great.
