I really appreciate ALL of you comments, he is still in the "tire kicking" mood right now and just looking at different rifles. He had just asked about some rifles that I had no knowledge about. We will most likely be going to some BP shoots to beg, to hold a few.... just to see what they are really like. Again than you all!!!! and have a happy Thanksgiving!!!!

UPDATE...........
So, he went with the Hepburn. Ser#856, 44-100 cal, 32in 1-18 Badger barrel, Treebone stock and forearm, MVA sights. Does anyone have any good starting points for this cal?? I will be doing a chamber cast later this week as to get full measurements. I would suspect most loads would be around the same as a 45-100?? It did come with a bullet mold (I haven't put a mic to it yet, but is is a GG) the rifle only has 40-50 rounds down it.
