Wolf Publising
I’m done with them. A friend of mine told me the other day that he hadn’t received his last issue of BPC which got me to thinking I haven’t got mine either. He said he wasn’t going to renew his because of constant problems getting his subscriptions. Well, I’m in the same boat. I just went to a local magazine rack in KC and lo and behold the latest issue is there. I’m still waiting on mine. You would think a quarterly subscription that costs that much would give better service. Love the magazine, when I’m fortunate enough to get it. My initial order was screwed up from the get go. Consistent incompetence does not deserve and will not receive any support of mine. Too bad.

Re: Wolf Publising
Which "latest issue" do you mean?
My last issue is Fall 2019, no. 107. I receive my issue(s) of this and other magazines after other posters mention receiving the current issue.
My SWAG (Scientific Wild Arsed Guess): problem is with the US Postal Service and its ZIP code distribution and routing sytem. Back-In-The-Day, I recall that magazine subscribers received mailed issues before the magazine issue was at the newsstands. Now it appears that it is just the opposite-- the local Safeway, Wal-Mart, and Barnes & Noble have magazines that I subscribe to before I receive them in the mail.

The fall issue. I had to call to get the last 2 issues. I seriously doubt it’s the postal service as they deliver every dam bill on time. I also had to call to get my 1st issue. Then they sent 2. Then 2 the next issue. So I called again and fixed that, I think. Who knows.

No, the postal service is OK I got a QSL card that came all the way from Japan with my Ham Radio call sign and my first name with the town I close by with out a formal address and it found my mail box.
I quit Wolf Publishing a long time ago.

Much as I like the magazine, I've had nothing but trouble with my last subscription and probably won't renew. I just get tired of calling them every other month to explain that they keep telling me it is my last issue. One year of that crap was enough. Too bad too, because Steve is a great guy and puts out a good magazine. But publishing it through Wolf Publishing kind of ruined it.

Re: Wolf Publising
So what do we know? Steve Garbe sold BPCN to Wolf Publishing and agreed to stay on as managing editor. That's the last I heard.
So what happened to circulation? I don't know. Just based on the bits and pieces it would not surprise me to find out that some efficiency expert sold management on the idea of a new way to print the magazine and a new way to manage subscriptions that would solve all of their problems.
Problem is, as we all should know by now, the best idea in the world can fail miserably when put in motion by incompetent people.
BUT, sitting around complaining about it won't find out what the problem is.

This is interesting to me. I have subscribed to "Rifle" and "Rifle Handloader" thru Wolf Publishing for years with no problems what so ever. The transition from SPG to Wolf for BPCR News has been seamless as well. My issues always show up about three days after they do on the newsstand at Barnes and Noble. Not sure what you folks are doing differently other than having problems. Call them on their phone, they actually have someone one their end that answers - imagine that!

Actually my complaining answered the question I had without even asking. I was wondering if others had problems, and they do.desert deuce wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 8:48 pm

When I have a problem with a company I do not bitch about it on a forum. I go to the source and resolve it like a grown-up. Never had a problem with this direct adult approach to a problem.

Re: Wolf Publising
So what exactly is your hope is your hope in trying to trash Wolfe Publishing here on this forum? Perhaps it is to dissuade any other potential reader from ordering their subscription in an attempt to gain vengeance from having to make a couple of phone calls? While that certainly seems like a noble cause, I have to mention that Wolfe Publishing has actively stated they are having a problem and are trying to fix it and they are appreciate your phone calls so that can know there continues to be a problem, and besides being the best reading available in magazine form on subjects that interest me, they also actively support many of our matches.
I am rather jealous of the fact that whatever business you have been involved in, things always went perfectly and all the employees always did as they were supposed to. I have not been so lucky and can sympathize with Wolfe Publishing for their problems, and try to be patient and helpful in their repair.
take care, Cody

I was wondering if anyone else was having problems and it looks like they are. I’ve called several times over the last several months.
For the life of me I don’t know why people feel the need on this forum to berate people when they post a problem with something and try to figure it out.

Re: Wolf Publising
Let's see, where exactly does it state "I am having a problem, is anyone else having the same problem" No, it explicitly says your are done with them and they are incompetent. Not exactly a cry for help, but just an attempt to bitch and trash......VectorMan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 3:12 pm I’m done with them.
