Harlan Sage @ Caring Bridge

Post by GPeterson »

I got this news from my shooting partner yesterday, and if it's been mentioned somewhere else on the forum, it should be mentioned again. Harlan has had a serious health setback, and can all be explained from the website below. Harlan, Tiff and the Sage family needs your thoughts and prayers, certain sure, and I'm sure some help in a tangible way, too. Harlan has been a good friend and a hard worker to a lot of us through the years on the B.P.C.R. circuit. I'll attest.

Happy New Year to all, especially to the Sage family,

GPeterson

It was 2007, Hayden.

Jimbo and I were with him and took him to the Airport, we then drove home. We were in Phoenix our first time.

Steve Rhoades and I were the ones to deliver the news. It was a very difficult trip.

Jimbo had called me several days before Christmas with the news, we all need to keep Harlan in our prayers.

Wendy and I got the call from Tiff and Harlan on Christmas Eve. Was definitely an unexpected kick in the gut. We have become really close to them over the last few years and this hurts just like if it were a direct family member. We all need to keep them in the forefront of our thoughts and prayers.

Well biggergun, I do believe cancer took out good old Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Best part of that is if he would have used some of the money he stole from the Venezuelan people he could have come here for treatment and been cured probably. bobw

There's now a Go Fund Me page set up for Harlan. Please everyone step up and help out if you can. This is going to be a tough time and every little bit of generosity will help. If you're not wanting to do the Go Fund Me there are going to be other fundraising going on. PM me if anyone is interested in helping out that way and I'll get you in touch with the appropriate people. Thanks Everyone. Jeff

On the GoFundme page Tiffany posted this, " We received preliminary results on December 30th and our fears were confirmed. Harlan has Glioblastoma multiforme which is a brain cancer that does not respond well to chemo. His prognosis is 12 months. "

Not good. I lost my shooting partner to the same cancer. I pray for the best for him and his family.

I talked to Harlan on the phone Sunday. They were looking at going home on the 10th. The biopsy results have been sent to Denver for re-evaluation and per Dr. Michael Johnson's recommendation they will also be sending them to the Mayo Clinic.
He seems to be in really good spirits and doing better day by day. Keep him and Tiff in you're prayers and keep hoping for a miracle.
