I was unable to pick up the powder. One of my pugs is having some serious medical issues. I did call and had it shipped. It will be here early next week. When I am able to shoot it I will give some chrony numbers and accuracy info.

I remember petting those dogs, I hope everything turns out O.K.

Hoping to get out to the range this weekend to shoot a ladder test with the new lot of OE 1.5. Probably going to shoot tomorrow. I will post the numbers when I am done.

This new lot I have seems to be very slow compared to the Swiss I have been shooting. Accuracy may be just as good though. More tests to come

I have some 10 shot strings made up for next weekend. I will post the results. Hopefully I will have something good enough to enter into the frostbite match.

I imagine you'll like that lot. I have shot a bunch of it, and have a fresh case. It's the only batch of OE 1.5 that my .45-70 paper patch rifle seems to like. Of the OE 1.5 I've used, only the first ( I think a very early batch ) was faster than Swiss 1.5. The others are slower. Contrary to what some others have reported, in rifles Swiss still gives less fouling.

I use one of those Brent gophers to wipe with. I push one of those in the chamber and a dry flannel patch at the same time. To be honest with you the dry patch looks better with the OE than it does with the Swiss.

To be totally honest the patches that were used with the OE don’t look like they have even been used. :?

That's interesting Ian. I usually use 2-3 wet patches and then a dry one. Sometimes I use the BACO wipers and in that case I see any real difference then.

The only patches that come out completely clean are the last wet one, and of course, the dry one.
