Just a little different topic than the Chinese Bug
I like to spend time listening to these old tunes, It seems like nobody now days can carry a tune that you can understand the words being sung.
I'm a American History Buff. I like the old photo's that is shown with some of these tunes and some of the Rock Formations I have personally seen in my travels.
The old west is a lot different then what is portrayed in the western movies and the Winchesters were not the only rifle in their hands back then. Also not many wore a side arm while in town either
Also there are some good History lessons one should pay attention to also.
This is one of my favorite tunes.

My Dad taught a lot of local kids to play the fiddle. That was one they always played at the dances.
Two of my favorites from that Genre
Had a hired man when I was growing up that could flat put them to shame !!

I just gave my Daughter a bunch of 33 1/3 RPM records of Marty and Burl Ives and a bunch of other western albums, probably 30 pounds of records.

And Marty knew how to use that big iron.
