Isolation Find

Post by semtav »

Out self isolating the other day and came across my first headstamped 1878 45-70 Rifle case. My brother has found a couple 1880 Carbine cases
Couple years newer, but was found where Custer embarked on his Journey up the Rosebud.

all found within sight of the Yellowstone, Rosebud Co.

Brian have you checked out the hills at the Shiloh range?
I would think that would be a good place with water close and good grass to setup on one of the bluffs for the Bison harvests.

No, but no doubt the whole area was prime hunting. Can't imagine how many shells are out there.
There are some interesting "sites" just north of the Quigley.

Pretty cool find Brian, thanks for sharing them with us. Would love to be able to isolate out that way.but the wife just looks at me when I've suggested it in the past. Will be there for the Quigley if it happens,God willing.
