Looking back in recent BPCR history.
I know many of you “old” guys remember the Shooters.com forums, especially the Blackpowder Cartridge forum. The 1st thread was started on 11/1/97 & the last one ended approximately 6/5/03. I was coming up to speed on BPCR at the time and the forum was very influential. I was real sorry to see it go away. About 6 months prior to the end, after the members were notified that allvertical.com, the hosting company for all the forums, was going out of business a thread was started for some members to add their contact info to a list for keeping in touch. The final list is below. No doubt there are scores of members missing, contact information has changed & some have left the range.

gunny is living in Alabama and is shooting more "F" class long range.
Shooters.com was an "interesting" site with all the characters, arguments, shooting and casting theories, etc.

Re: Looking back in recent BPCR history.
BTW,
Except for a very few at the end I have all the Shooters.com Blackpowder Cartridge threads starting with the 1st one. They're an excellent searchable resource. Although I have them stored as Chrome-based files, since they are .html files they can be opened and searched with any browser, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, etc. The folder with all the threads is a little under 350MB. If you’d like a copy I can send you a CD-R disk or you can send me a 500MB or larger USB flash drive (aka thumb drive) to be returned to you. PM me or email me for the details.

You're welcome Jim. I assume you had no problem downloading and opening up the files. BTW, if you haven't tried it they are searchable & contain a lot of good info.Jim Kidwell wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 5:52 pm Wayne, I received the CD today. Thanks. Again it brought back a lot of memories........

Re: Looking back in recent BPCR history.
I wonder about J.R. Ruble, Alterfurz
who, I believe started Shooters.com
I note is wife, Ingrid Ruble/Digital Weasel, is listed, but not him?????
I am sorry that I lost track of Jim and Ingrid. They were located in Texas
where my wife and I visited them.
They are great people.
Noting that Digital Weasel is listed in Oklahoma . I know that over the years they
had moved relatively frequently.
