45-110 ammo boxes?

Hello all.
Since I'm soon to be moving into the 'big boy' realm of BPCR with a 45-110, I'm searching for ammo boxes like the MTM's I have for my 40-65 and other firearms.

Not sure what the overall length is going to be with PP since I haven't yet rolled/loaded any, so not sure if MTM makes boxes tall enough for these based on there info online.

Also, should I store them bullet up?

Shiloh has one that works very well. It holds up to 60 rounds and you can add another section to hold 60 more which is what I did so you can carry 120 rounds of varying calibers.

Thanks but that’s going to get pricey real quick. I currently have 350 cases to get loaded so would need 4 @ 100 rounds or 6 @ 60 rounds. With my goal being at least 500, that won’t work. Having one for a line box would be fine, but need something like MTM or Berry’s for bulk storage.

Berry's Ultra 412 works fine for 45-110.

These should work - I bought a few - they are tall. MTM says 45-110s will go in bullet up. $3.79 each for 50 rounders.

Hi Bryan.
I had never even thought of trying to put a Quigley or any other rifle in a plastic ammo box. Not sure where you got that idea but I would love to see a video of you attempting it. To what end I'm not sure, but should be good for a few laughs.

I'm looking for a cost effective way of storing... wait for it... ammunition! In my reloading room.

See, I tend to view some things on a cost per item scale so looking at say a $5 plastic box to hold 50 rounds works out to $0.10 per round. Compare that with a $60 wood box that holds 60 rounds equals $1.00 per round or $0.90 per round more. And since these would be in my reloading room, I'm not really concerned with showcasing them in a fancy box. As I stated earlier though, having one of the nice wooden boxes for the range makes sense.

And I'm sure not planning on cutting my Quigley up into tiny little pieces to gt it to fit in 100 or so tiny plastic boxes.

Putting a Quigley in a tiny plastic box. That right there's funny, I don't care who ya are.

I once saw a guy bring his rifle to the line along with a canvas sack of ammo. Maybe that was you?

I've used the MTM boxes in the past and still do for some types of ammo. It just struck me as funny to spend serious money on a rifle and then get all butt hurt cheap on ammo boxes.

I know of this nice fellow that makes nice wooden boxes that are for sale at Shiloh .

I bought a big one that holds 200 rounds.
