Hi
A few years ago, I got splitted Starline 45-90 brass because of a wet chamber
I then used a mopping rod to clean the chamber after the Delrin rod and patches( one or two wet and then one dry).
Way too long ... Way too clean ... Being the spotter and the shooter, I was short of time, having less time to look for the wind changes ...
Since a few years, I make just ONE (1) pass with the Delrin rod: one wet for the first and a dry at the back of the rod to mop the bore only.
I hope the pics are OK:

"to mop the CHAMBER only"
Good idea. A friend actually drilled and tapped and threaded near the "back end" of his
Delrin rod to hold a chamber mop patch.

I swear by these rods. buy a few when you get them.
I drill and tap the ends, put on a brass jag, and you're good to go.

I've been using the same technique for several years. Not having a mill to cut the slots I drilled 3 or 4 holes close together with a drill press then cleaned out the remaining material with a X-Acto knife, which was pretty easy. If you're careful drilling the holes, a hand drill & a sharp pocket knife blade will also work.
