Covid survivors

Post by MLV »

My wife, Yvonne and I are now officially covid-19 survivors. It hit me lightly although I should be poster boy for high risk. It hammered my wife. She just got out of the hospital after five days.

Stay safe everyone. We have no idea how we contracted it, don’t know anyone else who’s gotten it.

Glad to hear you're on the mend and that you weren't hit hard. Hoping Yvonne gets well soon.

MLV - Been to any matches in the past few weeks? If so, am guessing no one wore a mask or social distanced.

Glad you've survived. Hopefully, neither of you will have any of the long-term problems that so many survivors have.

As you said, stay safe. An insidious virus.

What long term problems are you talking about? I don't think short or long term immunity is a problem.

Survivors have shown a wide range of lingering/long-term problems. Heart problems, lung problems, mental problems of various sorts. As with everything associated with covid, we are still learning about it and the long-term problems are not yet well understood.

Mike,

I am very happy to hear both of you have survived and so sorry you had to be among those who have had Covid-19. We can't afford to lose any in the BPCR community and certainly not an icon such you. Thank you for all you've done for the sport over the many years.

I'm glad to hear you are both recovering. I hope it is full recovery with no lingering effects. Keep writing those good articles.

Good to hear you’re both OK, probably got it from Yvonne’s cats 🐈.

Yikes, good to hear both of you beat it. A friend of mine 96 year old father beat it too, however sadly his 88 year old wife didn’t. The old fellow has a bad ticker and his wife has dementia. Scary stuff or the elderly or high risk. Safe safe.

Scary stuff for all of us. I know two ER Docs in their thirties that died from this. Both were previously healthy with no risk factors.
