So who got the Freund M77 Sharps? Only $30k. Someone here got it. Speak up, and congratulations.

The 77 sharps that just sold at Amoskeag used to belong to John Amber and was burned up when his wife set fire to his collection in 1985. That gun was rebuilt, re-engraved, re-stocked (twice) and refinished. You can see pictures of what it looked like after the first time it was restocked in Pablo Ballentines book on Freund.

Holy Cow! Lesson learned there! I wonder what John did to piss his wife off that bad??!! Whatever it was it turned out to be highly expensive!

I saw this today represented in the January auction.

Seems cheap to me.

The was also this one but I'm trying to thin the herd, not add to it.

I was bored and perused the hammer prices for some of the items. The gun prices did not surprise me, but look deeper into the lots and you will see ammo and primers being sold for astronomical prices. WOW!!!!!!
