Charlie stay away from squadding up with smokeless and 209 shooters and you will have time to properly wipe :D

I was in Fort Benning in January of 74, when they got a couple of inches. It was not pretty.

We got about 6 inches last night. I've cleared off the vehicles and have a Doctor's appt this afternoon. I'll leave a little early.

Kurt, LOL, I'll tell you what, you get In the same line with the 3 of them and it's like a semi-auto in slow mode. But it's fun to shoot with them cause they are such good shooters, if one of them miss you better dang well hope your spotter is on the ball and can pick it up. There is only one shooter that I am aware of that uses bore pigs and he has a pan that he drops them into, but some of the conditions of the firing line are such that it sometimes is a hit or miss whether they land where they are supposed to. You know what it's like on "The Hill"!!

You Guys are breaking me up. 1 1/2" of snow, really? It's knee deep in the back yard and it's only February. Seriously, I know what it can be like if you're not used to it and the city is unprepared for it. I want to go get the mail after lunch so I just went out and plugged in the battery charger and block heater. Three hours should do it.

Now, now Paul. When I lived on Colorado, I had a 6 foot blower on the back of my tractor to keep the driveway open. The last year, I was there, we had over 450 inches and that was not a record. I do know what snow is, and am happy that I only need to use a snow shovel once every couple of years. My driveway has only been plowed once in the 14 years I've lived below the snow belt. That was by my neighbor, and he was only playing with his new John Deere.

OK, I admit it, I'm jealous but I find that all the nice warm places are really crowded and that's not for me either so I guess I'm stuck where I am. By late March we'll be prepping the RV and here's hoping we have some place to go shoot this summer.

-20 F ? Paul, Have I got the winter place for you. 23 miles West of Tucson, Arizona, on Arizona Highway 86, is Tucson Rifle Club. $100.00 annual membership (includes your wife), full RV hookups, pet friendly, ranges to 1,000 yards. Only problem, you may get tired of shooting from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day. Oh yes and then there is sun burn to watch out for Nov-Apr. Google Tucson Rifle Club Calendar. Shotguns not allowed.

At the moment the only announced scheduled match up here is the end of July in Valleyview, AB. Then C-W Ranch are hoping to have two shoots this summer if Chris' health will permit. I'm also waiting to hear from gunlaker about the shoot in Kamloops. If the border stays closed and inter-provincial travel is permitted we will make a swing out to BC and see our Kids and Grandkid and friends and do some shootin'. We'll see what if anything happens. The way it's going I really don't see the border opening until the vaccination program is complete and who knows when that will be? So as much as I would like to take you up on your suggestion Zack I'm afraid I'll have to pass on Tucson. We really did enjoy being snowbirds at the Ben Avery so I'm sure the sun-up to sun-down shooting is something we can handle.

Thanks Art, I see in the news the flood gates have opened down South again, and they've stopped coming North too, what a surprise. I'll pass, I'm one of those oddballs that likes to work for what he gets, you know, pride of ownership and all that. Thanks anyway.

Where can I find a video/ description on how a string is actually measured ? is the length determined by the sum of each hole center to the bull center or does the string actually circle a peg in each bullet hole print starting at the bull center ? I've heard it mentioned both ways and would like to know how it is done for this event.
