Merry Christmas to Me

Post by Kenny Wasserburger »

I ordered this just a week ago figured it would arrive in mid January.

Got the email Sunday that it would arrive Yesterday, about 530 last night in a snowstorm UPS dropped this on my porch. Spent good part of the evening setting it up. Got the external battery and the tripod, carry bag and SD card. Look forward to spring now.

They are not cheap no doubt. I ordered a JKL recoil pickup and magnetic mount, this morning to help pick up shots. One of the few things I have seen about them.

Excellent, Kenny!
I very much like my Labradar!
I got it because the shoot-thru style is a real nuisance at the range I belong to, what with Range Officers, and with the descending terrain within the first 20 feet of the firing line. But now that I have it I really like it.

It never misses a 45-70 shot, unless I forget to turn the radar on.......

I had a little trouble initially with it missing shots, until I started putting the unit about a foot forward of the muzzle. Since then it has been very reliable. I do not have the recoil pickup that you speak of.

Kenny: nice; very nice indeed. I keep looking at those and talk to Fellow Shooters at the range who have one. Just might be a very good three-quarters of a century birthday gift to me, from me. Those are the best gifts -- you get exactly what you want and no string attached. Again, very well done.

Before I forget, have the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of New years.

I like mine - I recently got one and haven't used it too many times yet, but it works well so far. And like Aviator said, the advantage for me is I can set it next to the rifle, not out in front of it which I can't do on my range. I got the big battery and it runs it for several sessions before recharging - even with the radar transmitting for long intervals to allow me plenty of wiping time between shots.
