Dump the peas and I could eat that. Love mussels.

Good to read that you got your appetite back.
You can always pretend you are still a kid and just eat around the peas. 8)
And, lamb. Cook those loin-chops (2" thick is best) just like a small t-bone. Med-rare for me.

Woody, you would have loved my job in a former life. 6am every morning for about 2 months, organoleptic grading of peas canned the previous day. Taste, give a grade, then spit it back into a can...... Usually at least 30 samples.

I hate peas, especially the late sweet peas. Mealy, mushy, sh*t.

For what it's worth, I also graded asparagus. I like asparagus, and when grading was done I would go along and eat a bunch of the prime stuff before it was dumped into trash.

Just start out simple Bruce.
Sprinkle on a few spices.
I use:
Smoked paprika,
Black pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Chili powder
And ground mustard
Salt to taste ( i use none)

I start out in the smoker for and hr at 250, then wrap in aluminum foil and stick in the oven at 250 for 3-4 hrs.
My wife prefers just doing it all in the oven

Eat that way or make up a sauce and put on an hr before done.

Catchup
Tomato sauce
Brown sugar
Molasses
And a few spices work
But there's lots more on utube.

Substitute your weber, charcoal and a few wet wood chips for the smoker or oven
And vary your cooking time to your temp
