CO...I think you're right. Covid-19, wintertime...Maybe some of us are lonely...I will be at the range with a couple of mine tomorrow trying to hook new gun club members. Once they hit a small metal target at 200 meters with a 22 they will think that's cool. I'll also have my 45-70 BPCR rifle and Jeanne will have her lever action marlin for new folks to shoot. I Will not have my 30-30 now named Ole Sexy for new folks to shoot..not on the first date anyhow !!

Yea, the .32-40 could qualify as sexy and should probably make the list. Still not as "SEXY" as the .44-77 SBN, .44-90 SBN or even the .40-90 SBN, assuming all are loaded with PPBs.

I sold all my 40-90 SBN stuff to Rick K. He has a Roller shotgun he's planning to re barrel and chamber to 40-90 SBN for PP. I can’t wait to see how the 44-77 and 40-90 compare.

one thing i would like to try is 40/90 sbn with a tight necked pp chamber and a 12 0r 13 twist barrel for long range target shooting.
it will probably never happen, as life has other priorities.
the beauty of the 40/90 sbn is that brass can be made easily from available 45/2.6" cases.
it would certainly drive 1.55" long bullets with low drag noses hard and fast using 12 twist with less recoil than a 45 cal with similar wind deflection but less recoil.

Well... clearly I'm siding with Jim when it comes to the 44 x 2 1/4". Sexy is as sexy does... and I've one at home with me...and one to keep me happy in the U.S. when I'm there. Hopefully I'll get the chance in another year or two to take my Stateside 'sexy' out on the town again. Either that or she might run off with someone who knows what theyre doing
