I asked him for a round to keep, PP sexy, I love her sexy long legs, it still sets on my shelf, so there's tremendous lust every time I reach to turn on my radio

I’ve had the same thoughts about cartridges, some of them are steady edies and others? Well they just look HOT!

This thread said cartridges, didn’t say BP. Sooooo, the hottest cartridge for me is the .257 Weatherby Magnum. That is THEE sexiest round ever! And it has the performance to back it up!

Wind an award rifle and chose it in that caliber. A real performer, did everything I wanted it to do and them some.

Ended up selling it and sticking with my Melvin Forbes Ultra Light Arms in 30/06! ole steady Eddie does everything I need it to do!

Sexy Cartridges?
Wow, I guess I probably looked at few that way as well! I tend to group them together as sexy/business.
Just off the top:
.22 LR (Life would not be the same without one or two)
.44-90 SBN (Marilyn Monroe of BP cartridges)
6.5 X 55 Swedish (Beautiful little round)
.303 British (Iconic, everyone should have at least one!)
9.3 X 62mm (Kiss of death)
.404 Nitro (Bigger kiss of death, you wont survive it)

since smokeless has entered this discussion, i will mention the 7mmstw.
once i worked out that its speed dictates better bullets for terminal performance it has served me well for specialist applications.
i can zero it at dead on 300 yds for +/- 3" point blank range of 350 yds, and after that i prefer not to shoot at animals anyway.

The 7mm STW is a great cartridge I think. With heavy ,for 7mm bullets , it generates enough velocity to get on out there. If the platform had a good barrel with a faster twist, that might just be the ultimate long range cartridge. There are many new fancy cartridges..but a big 7mm bullet moving fast is still a very efficient projectile.

Brian for me, and my immediate terrain and needs , the 30-30 would be THE most desirable, sexy, whatever cartridge , and would allow me range from a few yards on small game up to 500 meters for whatever purpose. The ammo/brass are easy to find and load data plentiful. Yes sir Brian, the 30-30 ,for me, is the right , sexy, most desirable cartridge..in a good platform of course. Your needs may vary of course.

Then there's the .28 gauge shotgun...Now THAT's sexy Brian...most are light in the hand to carry all day..VERY fast on a covey rise and you can carry several rounds in one Pocket. From turkeys to Doves...and even deer sized game .the .28 gauge is sexy , desirable and WAY cool. And yes...in my opinion, the 30-30 is VERY sexy. I name all my rifles and have yet to name my newest Winchester 30-30 but you have given me an idea.."Sexy' is going to be the new gun's name. Who can't look at a good 30-30 lever action and not feel Romantic? Opinions vary I guess. I think I'll take ole "sexy' with me to the range tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

When it comes to “sexy” BP cartridges the 40-90BN Sharps caught my eye. I got everything together to build one and was about to order a reamer when a Hepburn in 44-77 Sharps came my way.
The 44-77 is a “sexy” cartridge, a little high maintenance and sometimes hard to please ,but I love it.
