Re: Annealer
jim,
i do not have that one, but do have the brand baco sells which is similar.
such machines have the beauty of being far more consistent and repeatable in the job they do than by hand.
once you use it you will never chook around with sockets in a drill again.
if you study annealing a bit you can work out an optimum temp for your job, and using the correct tempilaq go right to that temp.
i keep some old cases for setup with tempilaq.
black powder cases are ideally a little softer than smokeless, and this is easily achieved.
not sure if this machine has a time adjustment or you just change the flame, but being able to do both is helpful.

Re: Annealer
I'm one of the very early buyers of the Bench Source annealer which BACO decided to sell later. I love it but it is rather expensive. I know a guy that has a Ken Light annealer for sale that's reportedly in great shape with a nice box that he made for it. If anyone is interested PM me for his contact info. I bet you could get it for around $200 + shipping. Here's a YouTube video on the machine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhqmnSZKDmE

Thinking about one of these: https://annealeez.com/
Seems a simple concept. Good videos out on it, and the price is attractive.

The Annealeez is the one I'd buy now if I didn't already own the nice Bench Source.Luke wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 9:04 am Thinking about one of these: https://annealeez.com/

Re: Annealer
I made an Elfster in 2017 which I have run thousands of rounds through. The housing/case is homemade too so I have about $60 in it. One drum works for everything 1.8 to 2.4". I put a spacer in the back of the pan for the 1.66" 58 Berdan. The Annealeez would be my choice if I didn't like to make my own equipment. I see that Elfster makes an accessory for it. If you want a winter project and you have a few hand tools it works well.
