AGS Annealer Update

Post by Jim Kidwell »

After ordering the AGS annealer for 45 Cal bases, it took about a week to receive it. It is shipped from Serbia and is faster than many domestic suppliers. :) It came with two additional inserts sets (standard) that fit my 38-55 and 223 bases. such a deal...... I had been using the molten salt annealer which worked great, but was a mess to use. I annealed approximately 500 pieces of 40-65 brass the first day after setting up the torch position and timing. It did an excellent and repeatable job with a consistent annealing ring using one torch. Before ordering I had several questions which were answered in a timely manner. The unit is compact, which I like and is well engineered. So far I am pleased......

Jim,

AGS' website indicates the a necessary 12v 2A power supply does not come with the unit. Is that correct?

Final cost was $250.00, which included the riser. He takes PayPal, but you might ask if he takes other forms......

The only thing missing is the power cord. He doesn't include it due to the different international requirements. I used a spare laptop cord I had. Most have these and they are readily available.......

jim,
you have done well to get that machine.
continued use will give you cases with the same temper.
if that temper is wrong not an issue.
they will all be the same, so a minor adjustment will correct them all.
tempilaq is your friend.

I was so impressed I ordered one yesterday. $310.88 Aussie dollars.
Make a change from the socket and drill. :D
