Yes, all shots fired from 100 yards

For midrange just the 600 yard setting.

For long range just use the 900 yard setting. Definitely close enough for government work. Unless you think you can hold less than half MOA at 1,000 yards and I don't know of anyone than has that ability with iron sights anyway....

You will probably have to recheck the cant of the rear staff between the 600 and 900 yard setting.

No oval view through the rear opening on the tang sight. Very important.

Got 5 windage front sights on 5 different rifles, with no problems, as long as you rest the barrel on the null point on the barrel and have something between the barrel and the wood you should be OK. A 520-540 grain bullet between 1300-1330 fps is all you need anyway and you can get that with a 45-70.

The trick is to write all this stuff down in your sight settings book so you will know what has been done, how and why for future reference.
