Hoarding and building up your stash is all fine and dandy for the old goats all ready in the sport. The real concern forth coming is that there will be less new blood joining our hobby, and hence a decline in shoot attendance as the 'ol timers retire from it. A start from scratch for a new interested shooter would be a hard sell and the prices just keep going up as you wait on back orders.

Bob, You and I went through the same Boy Scouts. Being prepared is why I survived several hurricanes here, without too much issue.

Now is not the time to be "stocking up", if you didn't start "stocking up"after the 1994 bullshit, you've not been paying attention.
There was another shot across the bow a few years back, primers & 22 ammo for a couple years.
Should've been doing it when stocks were high & prices low. Right now is ass backwards

Hard to "Stock up" when you can't buy it

The question now is, those of us that did pay attention, will we be able to use them?

Truer words haven't been spoken.

So, Kim, I'm an old goat now?

Nothing like years of experience to teach you how much you need to have of supplies to not worry as much about running out. At this point some of it's water over the dam. You guys that haven 't been burning up your cell phone battery trying to get more powder are damn short on imagination. The leftist thugs that voted for biden have been waging war on lead for 60 years . How many here have 1-2 tons stacked up in their garage? How many use a backstop for practice and load work up that they can recycle their spent slugs? Instead we have people on here that worry about only having fed215's instead of 210's or benchrest primers. We have people to lazy to alloy their own lead. Then you hear from the same that if you have more than a certain amount you are a hoarder. To see to your own needs past the present to the future doesn't take a genius IQ. You guys that now find yourself whining about things you can't get that you should allready have ,to bad. Personally I'd rather hear about Coltsmoke recycling tin off of vegetable cans to take care of his tin needs.

Even chipmunks, hamsters and squirrels are smart enough to stock up with food to carry them through the cold winter food shortages :D

My next run to the junkyard to get rid of copper and aluminum, I will trade for lead. Last time they had a barrel full of type. Don't need any, but it's money in the bank!

The food news is that as most of us "mature, " the amount needed for a "lifetime" supply besomes smaller. I am short a few things, but not "that" short. As for primers, I think everyone should own at least one good flintlock and be proficient with it.

Vista Outdoors owns our vendors. They will be increasing prices 3 to 8% in 2022
Question is … price increase on what base dollar amounts. If it’s 2021 prices … bend over gents …

And, unless I am mistaken, George Soros(?sp?) owns Vista Outdoors; so expect any increases to based on current prices.

Vista Outdoor (NYSE: VSTO) is owned by 55.73% institutional shareholders, 3.26% Vista Outdoor insiders, and 41.02% retail investors. Christopher T. Metz is the largest individual Vista Outdoor shareholder, owning 557,822.00 shares representing 0.96% of the company.

George will have to get busy buying stock if he wants to use Vista to cut off reloading supplies…
