It finally arrived!

Post by Gary Allen »

Howdy All,

Well folks, my new 1874 Sporter finally arrived, and just WOW, she's a thing of beauty! I'm in the middle of a move from Florida to Missouri, so it may be awhile yet before I actually get to bust her cherry. Moving to a great little town at the north end of Lake of the Ozarks on 10 acres that I should be able to squeeze aboutl a 200 ~ 300 meter range out of. Looking forward to spending more time with all you good people on here as an FNG...Happy Trails for now!

Congrats, but pictures are worth 2000 words when it comes to a Shiloh.

Welcome to Missouri and congratulations on the new rifle. I’m about an hour north of KC. I shoot monthly matches out in Kansas. Let me know if you want to take it to a match someday.

My thanks to Woody and Vectorman for your replies. I'll get to work on those pictures Woody as soon as I can, meanwhile, I'll try to keep it under 2000 words

No.1 Sporter
45-70
30 in Heavy Octagon/Polished
Extra Fancy Walnut W/Accent Line
AAA Finish
Med Antique
Polished Black Escutcheons & Screws
Custom Bed
Harford Collar
Pistol Grip Schnabble
Pewter Tip
Steel Butt Plate
MVA Long Range Soule W/Hadley Eye Cup
MVA Globe Front Site/Spirit Level

It sure is perty, but then again I may be a little opinionated.
I tried not to have any regrets when I ordered, so I went a little overboard on a few things, but since this was to be lifetime purchase I'm beyond pleased with the end results!
