Keith,
thanks for the advice, I'll jot that down in my notes somewhere and try to remember it.
Was it you I asked about possibly getting a little hands on instruction for casting? If you're gonna do some casting some weekend soon, let me know, I'll pick up some lead and come learn a little and make some bullets, if you'll have me.

victory molds
I just got my new mold from Victory Molds. (550 grain tapered PP, cupped base)
Steve Fotou is a great guy to work with and he turns out a great product.
I contacted several other custom mold makers before running across victory Molds only to be told that they were too busy or were not taking anymore orders.
I have not tried any of Steve's standard mold offerings but if its of the quality of this one then I would have no hesitation dropping the bucks for it.

And again, the Lord has said that: "Ye shall defend your families even unto bloodshed."

John Boy,
Back then, I was one of the guys who "borrowed" the "PGT" mold that was being passed around.
Actually, nothing special.
My Lyman Postell shot just as well from my Brg BPCR 45-70
Better to Advance to a DDEPP mold such as the BACO JIM453545E or the JIM455545E
The Baco molds are Excellent Quality.

Re: Shiloh's "Victory Mould"
I will also second Arnie's remarks....... The DDEPP bullets are performing VERY well, even in the Italian guns

Re: Shiloh's "Victory Mould"
there is a drawing of the pedersoli/gunn/trenk mould on bpcr website if you need measurements to get a custom mould made.
on the same page are a number of articles by dan theodore as well as dick trenk.
one of the reasons dd pp bullets work well is that you measure fired cases, bore diameter, and freebore if any, and design the mould around that.
this is what should be done with any mould, but people seem not to want to go to the trouble.
the pgt mould was specifically designed for the pedersoli chamber.

OMG, going to ebay right away and put my Jones, Brooks, Mos, BACO, NEI, Ideal and Lyman Moulds up for sale, rifles to Gun Broker. Joe Biden just said the same thing about the Democrat Party and I see a confluence of insanity on the horizon.
