I just got home from Ridgway for their 1st BPCR match of the year. There were 27 competitors with at least 3 totally new shooters. The range is looking good. The National Match director was there to answer any questions. Other club personnel were there also to answer questions. Everything is shaping up well for the Nationals. Key people are appointed and target setters arranged. I'm thinking it is going to be a well run National. There is more range work to be done and I was assured it would be done in time. They are really putting the effort into making it a success. The rest is up to us. We need to put up some good attendance numbers or there is a serious danger of there not being another National BPCR Silhouette match anywhere, ever. Get out there and promote this match. We need the numbers. I know some feel an allegiance to the Raton match but if you ever want it back to Raton you need to support this one or we may lose it all.

On another note, the 1st 22 BPCR match was held on Saturday with 14 competitors. The range is nice and the targets are new and things ran very well. This match will grow in popularity. There is a 22 BPCR match scheduled with the NRA National. There will also be the Lever Action silhouette matches. You can get it all right at Ridgway. Come on out.

Hello Folks,

Our June matches, 22 BPCR and Black Powder Silhouette will take place on 6/26 and 6/27.

22 BPCR will be a 40 shot match on the 26th.
The range will be open for practice till noon.

Black Power will also be a 40 shot match on the 27th.
The high power range will be open for practice Friday and Saturday until noon.
We have to close the high power range while the 22 match is underway for the safety of our target setters.

This will be the last club match before the Nationals in July.

See you at Ridgway!

The 22BPCR Ridgway Regional on July 23 & 24 will be a 2-day, 80-shot/day match. In an unusual format, will shoot 20-animals in a row with plaques for those who get all 20. 9 a.m. start each day. Come on out and let's see how many 20-animal plaques we can get. Contact Rich Pauquette rjpauquette@yahoo.com to register.

Two days off to practice and then the BPCR Nationals. Again, http://www.ridgwayrifleclub.com/ for details and registration info. Will have a very nice 'prize table' and an even better match.

Brian & Debbie Chilson seem to be ready for the nationals, shooting a fine 37 (8/10/9/10) at Shippensburg yesterday in what were for most, 'trying' conditions (inconsistent breezes & switches, clouds & sun, periods of almost no mirage to read).

Best of luck to all at the Nationals.

Almost forgot the important part. There is a nice brew-pub just across the street from the county courthouse on the right (on the corner, just out of the picture). Paesano Pizza a couple of blocks down is also good. Joey's Bakery for breakfast.

Everything is a go! We start Tues AM. Folks are here from Vermont to GA and as far west as Colorado. The weather looks good and everyone is anxious to get started.
