It's snowing hard here right now. The forecast was for sunny skies.
Nope guess we'll stay home this year.
Yes 25 does go south, but have you seen the road reports for what it would take to get it?
Besides all that I saw the pictures from the lever gun match, Chip had his insulated carhart jacket , wool sweater and wild rag on... That tells me it was well below 60 degrees.

Yessir, many locals reach for down and wool when the mercury dips below 60 F. But it is a dry cold.

Depends on the input from the shooters that attended the 2021 match.

In response to those inquiring minds out there about a round count for The Desert International Black Powder Match here is the final count:

Long range for 45-90, 800, 900 & 1,000 yards was 210 rounds. Did not participate in the sight in day which may have added 20 empty cases to the pile.

Midrange for the 44-90, 30 record shots at 500 and 600 yards. 80 empty cases.

Two day 40 animals silhouette 45-70, 132 empty cases but I did do the match day sight in both days.

.22 sight in was after the silhouette matches on the pig swinger, total .22 round count 82 rounds.

Yep, that is over 500 shots fired in ten days if you do the long range sight in day.

2022 will probably be similar round count and perhaps a different chronology of matches based on input from shooters that shot 2021.

AND, as for the suggestion about posting the scores before the match is over, please rethink that suggestion.

Just finished a rather lengthy shot by shot article about this 2021 ten day match for Black Powder Cartridge News.

While I do not know when issue 114 will go to press I know that the article was submitted over two weeks before the deadline.

Read all about it in the Black Powder Cartridge News issue #114 and get ready for March 21-31, 2022, when the next Desert International Long Range Black Powder Championship Match will take place at Phoenix, Arizona.

Even paper patch shooters? I understand that there was plenty of target repair going on with no patched shooters, so we can put that problem to bed now.
