chamber length vs brass lenght

Post by David Kunkel »

Kirk, I am new to reloading so do not know the safety limets. We have a new batch of bell 2 7/8 for our 45-110s. This batch is running .005-.010 shorter than 2.875. ?= is this safe to use / what is the shortest brass we could safely load. Our older brass is withing .003

Thank you for all of your efforts. These are truly phenominal guns

Sincerely,

Dave K.

Hi Dave, I am trimming mine to 2.860. This gives some room to stretch without going into the rifling, like they sometimes like to do. Thanks Kirk
