22 LR Adapter Casing Removal
How do I remove a Casing either fired or unfired from the adapter you offer for my Shiloh 1874 NO. 1 Rifle?
Do I have to use a cleaning rod or some kind of hook to extract the casing?
My rifle is in 45-120 and my 12 year old Grandson wants to fire it.
He loved Quigley Down Under and wants to fire it.
Thanks
Bob G.

The Crossno liner comes with a small screwdriver that you can use to pop out the fired case.

No modifications to the gun are needed, the Crossno one I one is very well made, accurate, and easy to install and remove. There is no good reason not to own one.

Art, I think it works best to remove the extractor when you install the insert. Otherwise it will try to extract the whole assembly without much luck but may be hard on the extractor.
To the original poster, a small screwdriver will help the spent cases out. Also, clean high quality ammo works best, you have a match chamber that is on the snug side.

Mine pop right out with a fingernail.

I just started shooting one last week , it is easy to remove spent cases with a finger nail and it is very accurate but the chamber is tight you will need to push rounds in with a wood rod are something flat your fingers will get sore fast

Exactly why I got rid of mine. There's something just wrong with pushing a rimfire in with a stick...dickens48 wrote:I the chamber is tight you will need to push rounds in with a wood rod are something flat your fingers will get sore fast

I'll bet that Deuce's fingernails are nowhere as long or elegant as Mary Jo Duncan's. Hers are perfect for the task, although I'm sure BPCR is not the primary for her choice of nails.

Crossno's liners have match chambers. That is why they are tight and so darn accurate. You can use your finger nail to flick the out, but the small screw driver that comes with it, works quite well once you get in the routine of using it.

The type of ammo makes a difference, with mine win. wildcats do not work, had to use a cleaning rod. Fed. hunting ammo 32gr or 40gr pop right out. I used it to teach my daughter on how to use the rifle and the sites before she shot the big stuff and her first silhouette shoot.

What brand/type ammunition works best with a Crossno?

Re: 22 LR Adapter Casing Removal
My instructions said Rem. has caused problems and the win. I did try was a bulk box. I brought 4 different types and a small cleaning rod the second time. There is a notch for the little screw driver to fit in to pop out empties. The site sightings were very close to my .45 2.4, the other shooters were surprised that we hit the chicken at 200m most of the time. Wind calls are a little hard.
